Accommodation

Welcome to our home in India!

You will be staying in your own private, air-conditioned room with private bathroom, in a beautiful 500-year-old Haveli in the heart of magical, colourful Jodhpur.

The Haveli is the ancestral home of a truly delightful family, who will make you feel like a dear friend and provide you with a very traditional experience over two enchanting weeks. This is where we love to stay in India, it is not only beautiful, authentic, clean and comfortable, but the people are just truly amazing!

There is a little courtyard garden, refreshing swimming pool, WiFi and a delightful rooftop restaurant that looks out across the city to the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort.

It is a beautiful sanctuary in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the blue city. Beyond the gates are the markets, intriguing little shops, curious joyful children, lazy cows, and smiles from beneath vibrant sari veils, music, tuk-tuk horns and the pungent mixture of smells from cow dung, sandalwood incense, jasmine tea and rich spices like cumin and garum masala that blend to become the exotic and heady scent of India.

We will take you to visit our favourite spice shop and the best little place to buy authentic Rajasthani textiles we know.

The market is only five minutes’ walk through the lively streets.

The view of the fort from the roof-top dining area.

The Haveli is a tranquil, peaceful and very comfortable retreat.

Meals

Breakfast offers the typical western choices of fruit, cereals and toast, enhanced with some more traditional Indian breakfast options. Fruit juices, teas and coffee are also available.

We will be the only guests in the 20 room Haveli, and there will be a banquet prepared especially for us each day for lunch and again for dinner.

Lunch will include delicious traditional dishes including samosa, Indian potato dishes, rice dishes, dahl, spring rolls and fresh fruit. Dinner will include a variety of ever-changing Rajasthani dishes, and you can choose mild or (for the adventurous) spicy! Our meals will be vegan and special diets can be catered for.

You will also be provided with unlimited fresh bottled drinking water every day.

On our last evening at the Haveli together, we will have a special Bollywood party with some of our local friends.
