Trainee Creative Arts Therapy Teacher


Admin Assistant (Office all-rounder)

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Role Overview: As the Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of administrative tasks, from managing emails and course enquiries to coordinating events and supporting team members. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Duties
  • Sort emails and direct them to the appropriate team member for response.
  • Respond to emails where required and appropriate.
  • Respond to course enquiries
  • Maintain records of course enquiries and responses on Excel sheets.
  • Monitor course enquiries 
  • Process all course enrolments, including adding them to Excel sheets and the course delivery platform and sending welcome and commencement day emails.
  • Keep enrolment records, including bonuses, referral fees, and commissions to be paid
  • Create receipts and invoices on Xero.
  • Manage student payment plans on Xero and follow up on late payments via email.
  • Schedule Facebook events and upload videos to Facebook groups.
  • Manage CEO’s calendar and help organize meetings 
  • Approve student requests to join Facebook groups (checking enrolment records).
  • Organize team meetings once a month and attend them.
  • Proofread and check links on the company website.
  • Perform general admin duties as required.
  • Conduct internet research as required.
  • Assist in preparing bulk email campaigns on Kartra and Campaign Monitor.
  • Remind students about Zoom classes and meetings on Facebook groups.
  • Make appointments for the CEO when required.
  • Provide support to other team members as directed.
  • Perform other admin and support duties as required.
  • Proofreading and formatting documents - Using Microsoft Word.
  • Helping maintain a clean environment throughout the campus
  • Answering telephone and providing information or taking messages
  • Other general office duties as required to support the CEO in running the Sunshine Coast campus and the international online training organization. 
Compensation:
  • Pay rate: $40 per hour

Trainee Creative Arts Therapy Teacher

Role Overview: This traineeship offers an exceptional opportunity to train as a Creative Arts Therapist Teacher specializing in training Holistic Integrative Creative Arts Therapists and Master Practitioners of Holistic Art Therapy. The role involves shadowing our CEO, Isabelle Cunningham, a veteran with 40 years of industry experience and 16 years in holistic therapist training. 

Successful completion of the traineeship may lead to ongoing employment as a full-time teacher with Mind Body Education. This is a unique position, and the traineeship is the only entryway for teachers at Mind Body Education.

Duties:
  • Assist in our live classrooms for the Master Practitioner of Holistic Art Therapy training program in Cooroy, Queensland, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each Thursday (excluding school holidays).
  • Participate in live Zoom classes for Holistic Art therapists and Holistic integrated creative arts therapists.
  • Learn to create art therapy workshops and assist in their delivery.
  • Attend training and teachers' meetings.
  • Complete assessments for student coursework submissions.

Fixed Hours:
  • Thursdays: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm (Cooroy campus)
  • Wednesdays: 8:00 am to 12:30 pm (Zoom workshops from home)
  • 5 hours per week: Assessing coursework submissions from home – Flexible times
  • Tuesdays: 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm (Zoom workshops from home)
  • 2 ½ hours per week: Teachers meetings, planning, and workshop design (schedule to be arranged)
  • Total: 20 hours per week

Compensation:
  • Pay rate: $25 per hour for trainees

Requirements:
  • Successful completion of the Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy (HICAT) Training Program.
  • Willingness to undertake the Master Practitioner Holistic Art Therapist training program online (approximately 8 hours per week) without compensation – Other than gaining the qualification.
  • Ability to commence the Master Practitioner Holistic Art Therapist training program immediately.
  • Traineeship start date: April 15th, 2024
  • Duration: One-year traineeship
